Thanks for volunteering at Do It Ourselves Festival 2019!

Welcome to the crew! It's our responsibility to make DIO Fest as safe, smooth, sustainable and fun as possible. We know you have experience and talent, and we will do our best to place you with the best schedule possible.

The Next Steps

To create a smoother experience for everyone, volunteers must submit a deposit. The refundable $75 deposit ensures that everyone will show up and complete their shifts, so we can all work together as according to plan. Submitting your deposit will confirm your position and put you on the schedule. Confirmed volunteers with paid deposits will receive priority scheduling until all positions are filled!

CLICK HERE TO MAKE YOUR VOLUNTEER DEPOSIT

Volunteers that successfully complete their shifts will have a $ ? refund within 14 days of the end of the festival. A $? volunteer processing fee will be retained to handle Eventbrite fees, etc. If you've paid your deposit, but need to bail on DIO Fest, please let us know ASAP.  We can refund your deposit (less the $? processing fee) if you let us know BEFORE April 16th.

Scheduling

Once we receive your deposit, we will get you on the schedule. We use all the information from your volunteer form to make sure you get to work with your preferred partners, during your preferred days, without missing your favorite band.

Volunteer Expectations

  • We cherish a positive attitude, because even when the jobs get tough, it’s always a good time working at DIO Fest.

  • Take your time to study up on the fest guide http://do-it-ourselves.com/the-dio-way Since you’re part of the team, it will be super helpful to know what’s going on.

  • When arriving at DIO Fest, please leave plenty of extra time to get setup and acclimated before your first shift.

  • Please show up at least 15 minutes early to the volunteer check-in before each shift.

  • No drinking or irresponsible behavior is tolerated while on shift. If a supervisor or security personnel witnesses any misconduct, your deposit will be forfeited and you may be asked to leave.

  • Please change out of your staff shirt after your shift. Anyone wearing a staff shirt is liable to be put to work at anytime.

  • If you are late, or miss any shifts, your deposit will not be refunded. We are counting on you.
