In addition to performing at DIO Fest 2018, our very own Emily Afton will be organizing and hosting a swab drive for DKMS - Let's Delete Blood Cancer. DKMS is an international organization working to fight against blood cancer and blood disorders (like Leukemia). Emily's mother was incredibly fortunate to have received a donor match through DKMS, after being diagnosed with cancer 4 years ago. Emily has made it a personal mission to support the DKMS cause whenever possible, making this her second time hosting a swab party at DIO Fest.
DIO couldn't be happier or more humbled to provide a forum for Emily's efforts to help those in need. We encourage everyone to swing by their booth, learn more about the mission of DKMS, and how how they possibly can help. Emily hopes to receive 75 swabs by Saturday night, and we hope to help meet and exceed this mark!

DKMS is an international not for profit organization dedicated to the fight against blood cancer and blood disorders by: creating awareness; recruiting bone marrow donors to provide a second chance at life; raising funds to match donor registration costs; supporting the improvement of therapies through research; and supporting patients from day one of their diagnoses.
