Simple philosophy, really, and one that has been faithfully followed sine the festival’s inception in 2013. It’s also kind of a hard thing to do. Festivals nowadays, especially behemoths like Bonnaroo, Outside Lands and Coachella, have the tendency to skew lineups to the broadest and most bankable acts, creating a situation where lineups can quickly become stale and unoriginal.
